Released March 2025.
Willowgreen celebrates the release of their legacy album, “Sheila’s Brush”. Sheila’s Brush is a Newfoundland term for the last storm of the winter season, on the heels of St. Patrick’s Day. “Sheila” herself is a figure steeped in Irish folklore.
This is Willowgreen's 6th album, released in March 2025! It's the first album Willowgreen recorded since their last recording 26 years ago. This new album includes traditional, contemporary, and original music from Ireland, Newfoundland, Scotland, Canada, Wales, and the USA.
Duluth-based Willowgreen performs traditional, contemporary and original music from the Celtic music world. Their signature vocal style combined with instrumentation including fiddle, harp, hammered dulcimer, bodhrán, guitars, octave fiddle, button accordion, whistles and mandolins appeals to audiences of all ages.
As in the true Newfoundlanders they are storytellers with music that is authentic to the culture.
